The Short Story: Junior attack Grace Koutouzis scored her 100^th career goal Wednesday evening as the Roanoke College women's lacrosse team rolled to a 23-4 victory at Ferrum College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Maroons scored the game's first 12 goals and took the 12-0 advantage into the second period. Koutouzis, who entered the contest with 99 tallies, found the back of the net with 3:52 left in the opening period to reach 100 for her career.
• The Panthers opened the second quarter with a goal, but Roanoke had the next four tallies and led 16-2 at halftime.
• RC outscored the hosts 7-2 in the second half.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Libby Bowman had three goals and three assists, while Koutouzis finished with three goals and two helpers.
• Kate Loughran had four goals and one assist and Raegan Becker and Sydney Harrison each had two goals.
• Sarah Brisson, Maddie Stopkoski and Tracey Benzing each contributed a goal and an assist.
• Sophia Chickering corralled 11 draw controls and Addison Schmidt had team-highs of four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
• The Maroons outshot Ferrum 36-6 with a 21-7 edge in draw controls.  
• Willow Cooper had a hat trick for the Panthers (10-6/4-5 ODAC).

UP NEXT

• Roanoke concludes the 2024 regular season 14-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play. The Maroons will enter the ODAC tournament as the #2 seed, with complete brackets and matchups to be released by the conference office.
