The Short story: Junior Corey Coogan rapped three hits Tuesday as the Roanoke College baseball team outscored Greensboro College 10-7 in non-conference action from Ted Leonard Park.

How it happened:
*The Maroons loaded the bases in the third and scored runs on a fielder's choice and two walks to take a 3-0 lead.
*Greensboro countered with four in the fourth but RC tied it back up after a Jonny Wall single in the fifth.
*Roanoke exploded for six runs in the eighth to erase a 5-4 deficit. Spencer Rhoads drilled a two-run home run to start the scoring in the inning and Dylan Bonzon later hit an RBI double. Wall brought in two with a single and Cayden Freels capped the scoring with another single to bring home Wall.

Inside the numbers:
*Bonzon had two hits and a walk and scored three times.
*Wall had two hits and Sam Scharville doubled and walked.
*Three Greensboro (21-13) players had two hits each.
