The Lead: Haylee Gamble took first in the 200m, while the Maroons produced six second-place performances at the University of Lynchburg's Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic.
Meet Highlights:
- Gamble logged a season-best time of 25.26 seconds to cross the tape first in the 200m. Her time ranks second in the ODAC this season.
- The Maroons claimed three of the top four spots in the 100m hurdles. Carr placed second in 14.91 seconds, followed by Olivia Viers in third (14.98) and Cammi Winston in fourth (15.71). Viers' mark ranks fourth in the conference, with Carr already holding the No. 3 spot.
- In the high jump, Kaitlyn Nguyen placed second at 1.55m, while Rebecca Carr tied for third with a leap of 1.50m.
- Nalonda Henderson finished second in the discus with a distance of 37.18m, which ranks fourth in the ODAC. Claudia Disbrow landed in fourth at 36.22m, currently good for seventh in the league, while Abby McGlothlin placed sixth at 34.23m.
- Grace Fowler came in second in the shot put with a mark of 11.90m. Sarah Fuchs placed eighth at 10.35m.
- Both Roanoke relay teams finished as runners-up. In the 4x100, Gamble, Henderson, Mikayla Hefferon and Lindsey Hobin clocked a time of 48.78 seconds. In the 4x400, Gamble, Hefferon, Hobin and Maryrose Molina-Shuman notched a mark of 3:56.83, which also ranks second in the conference.
- Viers placed third in the long jump at 5.39m, which puts her in the second spot in the ODAC standings.
- In the 400m hurdles, Ophelia Ladner finished third in 1:06.02, trailed closely by Hobin in fourth at 1:06.84. Those times are good for fourth and fifth in the conference this spring.
- In the pole vault, Anna Stafford placed third at 3.30m, while Tasha Miller finished sixth at 3.15m. Their respective marks are replicated on the ODAC leaderboard.
- Fowler also produced a fourth-place showing in the hammer throw. Her distance of 41.82 ranks sixth in the league.
- Sarah Kochanski's time of 42:53.94 in the 10,000m put her in fifth place at the meet and eighth in the ODAC standings.
- Claudia Disbrow notched a fifth-place mark of 31.67m in the javelin, which also ranks fifth in the conference.
- Henderson clocked a time of 12.62 seconds in the 100m, finishing in sixth place.
- In the 3,000m steeplechase, Madeleine Rhyne placed sixth in 13:55.24, while Allie Gallaher came in seventh at 14:00.19.
