The Lead: The Maroons claimed two first-place finishes and added a pair of runner-up performances at the University of Lynchburg over the weekend.
 
Meet Highlights:

• Kaitlyn Nguyen won the high jump after posting a mark of 1.60m. She currently sits in second place in the ODAC for the outdoor season.
• The quartet of Mikayla Hefferon, Maryrose Molina-Shuman, Ophelia Ladner and Haylee Gamble won the 4x400 relay with a conference-leading mark of 3:59.46. Their time also ranks second in the South Region and 13th in the NCAA. Another Roanoke squad – consisting of Vendela Svaerd, Allie Gallaher, Evie MaGee and Savannah Reid – took fourth in 4:31.69.
• The 4x100 relay team of Gamble, Lindsey Hobin, Nalonda Henderson and Eleanor Hinckley finished as the runner-up with a time of 47.70 seconds, which currently ranks fifth in Division III for the current outdoor campaign.
• Ladner came in second in the 400m hurdles, clocking in at 1:07.21. That personal-record mark is also the fourth-fastest time in the ODAC this year.
• Cammi Winston and Olivia Viers placed third and fourth in the 100m hurdles and were separated by four one-thousandths of a second. Winston finished in 15.533 seconds and Viers clocked in at 15.537, with both times landing in the top seven in the ODAC.
• In the 400m, Gamble came in fourth in 58.59 seconds, followed closely behind by Hefferon in fifth at 58.63. Those season-best times are good for second and third place in the conference.
• Three Maroons finished in the top six in the discus. Henderson was fourth (36.70m), Abby McGlothlin landed in fifth (35.24m), and Claudia Disbrow came in sixth (34.77m).
• Anna Stafford placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 3.05m. Tasha Miller tied for eighth place at 2.75m.
• Henderson recorded a sixth-place showing in the 100m, logging a time of 12.46 seconds.
• Sarah Fuchs came in eighth in the hammer throw at 38.28m.
• Sarah Kochanski finished eighth in the 5,000m with a time of 21:09.74.

Up Next: The Maroons will head to High Point, N.C. for the VertKlasse Meeting on April 5-6.
