The Lead: The Roanoke women's track & field team had three second-place performances and a total of nine Top-5 finishes at Bridgewater over the weekend.
 
Meet Highlights:

• The Maroons claimed three of the top six spots in the 200m. Haylee Gamble finished second in 25.56 seconds, while Lindsey Hobin placed fourth (25.94) and Mikayla Hefferon came in sixth (26.26).
• Ophelia Ladner was the runner-up in the 400m hurdles, completing the race in 1:07.41.
• In the high jump, Kaitlyn Nguyen placed second at 1.59m, and Rebecca Carr landed in seventh place at 1.54m.
• Olivia Viers finished third in the long jump, posting a mark of 4.99m.
• Anna Stafford came in third in the pole vault with a height of 2.99m. Tasha Miller finished fourth at 2.84m.
• The Maroons also had a pair of Top 5 showings in the 100m. Gamble placed fourth in 12.40 seconds, followed closely behind by Hobin in fifth at 12.64.
• Claudia Disbrow notched a sixth-place performance in the javelin throw with a distance of 31.51m.
• Maryrose Molina-Shuman came in sixth in the 400m with a time of 1:02.52.
• Grace Fowler placed sixth in the shot put at 11.56m. She also finished ninth in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.60m.
• Vendela Svaerd was the seventh-place finisher in the 3,000m steeplechase, recording a time of 12:15.82.
• In the discus, Alex Bibza finished seventh with a mark of 33.35m, while Abby McGlothlin came in eighth at 32.08m.

Up Next: Roanoke will compete at the University of Lynchburg's Hornet Open next Friday and Saturday.
