The Lead: The Maroons posted three first-place performances and five additional runner-up finishes in their first outdoor season event at Washington and Lee.
 
Meet Highlights:

• Roanoke went one-two in the 400m dash. Mikayla Hefferon won the race in 59.26 seconds, while Haylee Gamble finished second in 59.50.
• Gamble took first place in the 200m, notching a time of 25.59 seconds.
• Rebecca Carr secured the top spot in the 100m hurdles with a mark of 14.90 seconds. Cammi Winston came in fifth in 15.86, and Olivia Viers landed in seventh at 16.24.
• Nalonda Henderson clocked a time of 12.71 seconds to finish second in the 100m. Three other Maroons placed in the Top 6: Eleanor Hinckley in fourth (12.85), Taylor Poole in fifth (12.86) and Lindsey Hobin in sixth (12.95).
• Carr placed second in the high jump with a mark of 1.58m.
• Roanoke's 4x400 relay of Poole, Hobin, Henderson and Hinckley finished as the runner-up in 49.71 seconds.
• In the pole vault, Anna Stafford placed second at 2.93m, and Tasha Miller came in fourth with a mark of 2.78m.
• Grace Fowler notched a third-place performance in the shot put at 11.77m, and Sarah Fuchs finished sixth at 10.39m.
• Henderson came in fourth in the discus with a distance of 34.60m. Claudia Disbrow finished fifth at 34.17m, and Abby McGlothlin was seventh at 33.30m.
• In the 400m hurdles, Ophelia Ladner came in fifth at 1:07.37, followed by Hobin in seventh (1:10.07) and Winston in eighth (1:11.29).
• Viers placed sixth in the long jump at 4.85m, and Brooklyn Woolwine finished eighth at 4.66m.
• Fowler also recorded a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 41.47m.
