The Short Story: The Sea Gulls snapped the Maroons' four-game winning streak in a non-conference matchup in Maryland on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Salisbury held a 2-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. Soria Ebert got Roanoke on the board at the 11:06 mark of the second period, making it 3-1, but the Sea Gulls scored the final five goals of the stanza to go ahead 8-1 by halftime.
Third-quarter goals from Libby Bowman and Grace Koutouzis kept the Maroons within striking distance, but another big Salisbury run – this one featuring six unanswered goals – put the game out of reach by the middle stages of the fourth period.
Raegan Becker snapped the spurt from a Maddie Stopkoski assist with just 16 seconds remaining.

BY THE NUMBERS

Kyleigh Chickering played the full game in goal and notched 10 saves. Bowman, Clare Kuczo, Natalie Mason and Addison Schmidt each caused two turnovers, and Maddie McDonald collected three draw controls.
Leah Vilov paced the Sea Gulls with six goals. Camryn Pepper tallied one goal and three assists, while Mary Hanzsche finished with one goal and a pair of helpers.
Salisbury outshot RC 36-16 and held a 16-7 edge on the draw circle. The Sea Gulls also forced 18 turnovers and limited the Maroons to a 15-of-23 mark on clears.
