The Lead: Dominic McCombs and
Brady Fowler posted event wins, and three other Maroons landed in the Top 3 in their events as the men's track & field team opened the outdoor season at Washington and Lee.
Meet Highlights:
- McCombs finished first in the pole vault with a height of 3.79m.
- Fresh off an All-American showing at the NCAA Division III indoor championships, Fowler won the 200m with a time of 21.65 seconds. Elijah Bolich placed fourth in 22.53.
- Joseph Eldridge came in second in the 100m with a mark of 11.05 seconds.
- Jared McIntyre was the runner-up in the high jump, registering a personal best with a mark of 1.88m.
- Jim Sarsfield also set a personal record in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 46.28m to place third overall.
- Bolich led three Maroons in the Top 8 of the 400m, landing in fourth with a time of 50.46 seconds. Lorenzo Camobreco came in fifth in 50.59, and Bryson Hill placed eighth at 51.12.
- In the 110m hurdles, Daniel Graham finished fourth with a time of 15.54 seconds, and Davis Neel placed eighth at 16.87.
- McIntyre finished seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 12.20m.
- Cameron McDonald notched a seventh-place showing in the 400m hurdles, completing the race in 59.98 seconds.
