The Short story: The Roanoke College baseball team had an impressive offensive output Sunday, but fell 15-13 in 10 innings to Transylvania University at Hermance Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

How it happened:
*Roanoke opened the game with three runs in the first, but the Pioneers tallied six in the second to go ahead 6-3.
*Trailing 9-4 entering the fifth, the Maroon offense exploded for seven runs, fueled by home runs from Jonny Wall and Justyn Steens.
*Roanoke took two bases-loaded walks in the eighth to tie the game at 13, but Trent Youngblood hit a two-run walk off home run in the bottom of the 10^th to end it.  

 Inside the numbers:
*Roanoke and Transylvania totaled 28 runs, 28 hits, 16 walks and five hit batsmen in the contest.
*The teams combined for seven multiple-run innings on the day.
*Wall went 3-6 with two runs and three RBI and Spencer Rhoads was 3-5 with a double and a walk.
*Steens was 2-3 with four RBI and two walks while Corey Coogan and Ken McKeever had two hits.
*Henry Mitcham was 4-6 with a double, a home run and six RBI for Transylvania (3-0).
