The Short story: The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team scored 11 of the first 12 goals of the game Saturday and rolled to a 23-6 win over visiting Pfeiffer University in non-conference play. Senior attack
Wyatt Whitlow scored six times and added an assist to push Roanoke to 4-0 on the season.
How it happened:
*The Maroons led 2-1 and netted the next nine scores to take an 11-1 advantage early in the second period. After a goal from the Falcons, Roanoke scored three-straight, two from Whitlow, to take a 14-2 lead into halftime.
*The visitors had two of the first three goals after intermission, but four more Maroon scores made it a 15-goal game.
