Event: Virginia Tech Challenge

The Lead: A select group of athletes from the Roanoke men's track & field team made the short trip to Blacksburg for the Virginia Tech Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
Meet Highlights:
- Brady Fowler placed sixth in the 60m dash with a time of 6.93 seconds. He also came in ninth in the 200m, finishing in 22.11 seconds to lead all Division III athletes in a field full of D-I and D-II competitors.
- Jared McIntyre notched a fifth-place showing in the high jump with a personal-record mark of 1.86m. That height is currently third in the ODAC during the indoor season.
- Elijah Bolich landed in ninth place in the 400m, setting a personal-best in 50.34 seconds.
- Joseph Eldridge's time of 7.03 seconds in the 60m prelims ranks seventh in the conference this winter.
Up Next: The Maroons will host the ODAC indoor championship at Cregger Field House next Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24-25.
