Key Moment

  • Senior Michael Ramsey scored a pair of goals less than a minute apart in the first half to give the Maroons the upper hand.

How It Happened

  • Peyton Mancini played a ball to Ramsey who muscled past his defender and took his shot just outside the right side of the six-yard box and buried it into the lower left corner.

  • Brian Manon sent a long ball over the top that appeared initially to not work out. Ramsey, however, caught the defender lacking and picked his pocket. Ramsey then dribbled down the line and cut back another defender to open up the left footed finish.

  • RC notched a nearly identical goal in the dying embers of the game but instead of Pace, Berg found the head of Ludwig Werner for the fourth goal.

Notes and Notables

  • Every active field player saw minutes in the game for the Maroons.

  • This is Ramsey's third multi-goal game of the season. He previously tallied braces against Virginia Wesleyan and Catholic earlier this year.

  • Ramsey leads the team in goals with nine and his tally puts him at fourth in the ODAC.

  • Pace's goal is the second of his career and the first of the season for the defender.

  • Werner's goal was the first of his young career with the Maroons.

  • Fellow freshman, Peyton Mancini, recorded his first career point and assist on the first goal of the match.

  • Berg's pair of assists bring him to three on the year.

  • Aside from Ramsey, Slate Danforth was the only other Roanoke player to record multiple shots.

  • RC had the advantage in shots, 9-8, and corner kicks 6-3.

  • Luca Gustafson made two saves between the pipes in his 82 minutes of play. Denzel Marufu came on to play the last eight minutes and he recorded one save.
