The Short story: Despite 19 kills from senior Rylee Mayer Tuesday evening, the Roanoke College women's volleyball team fell in four sets to Guilford College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest.  

After winning the first set, the Maroons had five set points in the second game for a chance to go up 2-0, but Guilford fought off each and scored the last three points to tie it at 1-1.

Inside the numbers:
*Mayer's 19 kills were a match-high to go with three blocks, and Peyton Kirchner had 13 kills, five blocks and five digs.
*Kylee Draper tallied 27 assists and 16 digs and Raygan Wade had 18 assists and 13 digs.
*Teagan Hubble had a team-high 23 digs.
*Brynlee Burrill posted five kills and 12 digs.
*Kaci Johnson hit a team-high 15 kills for the Quakers (12-11/6-4 ODAC).
