Roanoke Women’s Volleyball splits W&L tri-match

The Short story: The Roanoke College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday at the Washington & Lee University tri-match. The Maroons fell to the Generals, ranked #16 in NCAA Division III this week, in three sets in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest but bounced back to earn a hard-fought five-set win against Stevenson University.  

Inside the numbers (vs. W&L):
* Rylee Mayer had a team-best 11 kills, while Peyton Kirchner had six kills.
*Kylee Draper contributed 16 assists and 12 digs and Raygan Wade had six assists and 11 digs.
*Teagan Hubble also had 11 digs and Brynlee Burrill tallied three kills seven digs and two service aces.
*Carly Lundgren had three blocks.
*Allie Buchholz posted 38 assists and 11 digs for the Generals (23-2/12-0 ODAC).

Inside the numbers (vs. Stevenson):
*Mayer had 22 kills, just one short of her career high.
*Kirchner had 17 kills and six blocks and Hailey Evans had eight kills in just three games.
*Hubble had 26 digs and two service aces.
*Draper contributed 29 assists and eight digs.
*Wade tallied 21 assists and 13 digs.
*Rachel Lenz had 14 kills for Stevenson (12-10).
