The Short story: The Roanoke College men's basketball team held Eastern Mennonite University to just 26 percent shooting Wednesday night in a 70-41 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory.
The Maroons held a 52-35 rebounding edge on the night and also held the Royals to 12.5 percent (3-24) shooting from three-point range.
How it happened:
*Roanoke scored the first six points of the game and opened a 16-4 lead midway through the first half. EMU cut the lead to nine just before intermission but
Joshua Morse scored the last five points of the half to give the Maroons a 34-20 advantage after 20 minutes.
*RC took control of the game quickly out of the break with a 19-4 run and wasn't challenged the rest of the way.
Inside the numbers:
*Morse had his fifth double double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
*
Marcus Morgan tallied nine points, a game-high 14 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and three steals.

Joshua McClary contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.

Justin Kuthan had 12 points and eight boards and
Zach Rosenthal scored nine points.
*Aviwe Mahlong scored 10 points for EMU.
