The Short story: The Roanoke College men's basketball team seized control early and went on to defeat Bridgewater College 75-55 Wednesday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game in the Cregger Center. Bridgewater had won three-straight games prior to Wednesday and fell to 13-6 and 6-4 in the ODAC with the loss.
How it happened:
*After Roanoke already held a 14-7 lead five minutes into the game, the Maroons went on a 22-6 run over the next five minutes to assume a 36-13 edge. RC led 42-26 at halftime, as junior
Joshua Morse tallied nine points, nine rebounds and two blocks in the first 20 minutes.
*Bridgewater scored the first five points of the second half but never cut the lead into single digits.
*Roanoke controlled the inside, outscoring the Eagles 38-16 in the paint and outrebounding the visitors 51-32.
Inside the numbers:
*Morse had a double double with 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds, as did
Justin Kuthan with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Zach Rosenthal drilled five three-pointers and tied for the game-high with 17 points.

Joshua McClary had a full stat line of 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and four blocks.

Marcus Morgan and
Gavin O'Malley each had six points.
*Jordan Cooper posted 17 points for Bridgewater.
