The Lead: Kaitlyn Nguyen claimed a first-place showing in the high jump, and the Roanoke women's track & field team totaled six top-three finishes at the Maroons' own
Finn Pincus Invitational.
Meet Highlights:
- Nguyen won the high jump with a mark of 1.60m. Rebecca Carr placed third at 1.50m.
- The 4x400 relay team of Haylee Gamble, Eleanor Hinckley, Ophelia Ladner and Maryrose Molina-Shuman also came in first, logging a time of 4:12.82.
- Gamble finished third in the 200m, crossing the tape in 26.27 seconds. She also placed fifth in the 400m at 1:01.51. Both of those times rank first in the ODAC during the current indoor campaign.
- Carr came in third in the 60m hurdles, notching a time of 9.30 seconds. Olivia Viers finished close behind, claiming fourth place in 9.52 seconds.
- Grace Fowler produced a third-place performance in the weight throw (15.68m) and a fourth-place showing in the shot put (11.89m).
- Viers finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.06m.
- Anna Stafford placed fifth in the pole vault at 3.05m, while Tasha Miller tied for sixth with a mark of 2.75m.
- At the penultimate home event of the regular season, the Maroons also honored their 2024 senior class (pictured above).
