The Short story: A total of 12 Maroons scored and five reached double figures Friday night as the Roanoke College men's basketball team defeated Regent University 88-45 in a non-conference game in the Cregger Center.

How it happened:
*Roanoke went ahead by double digits in the first 10 minutes and opened a 46-16 lead at halftime, holding the Royals to just 29 percent shooting over the first 20 minutes.

Inside the numbers:
*Marcus Morgan scored a game-high 15 points for Roanoke, and added nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
*Joshua Morse had 12 points and five rebounds and Zach Rosenthal also contributed 12 points.
*Justin Kuthan had 11 points and nine rebounds and Clayton Gaither scored 10.
*Joakim Marie-Joseph led Regent with 12 points and eight rebounds.
