Gavin O'Malley posted career highs of 14 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday night to help the Roanoke College men's basketball team defeat visiting Washington & Lee University in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game in the Cregger Center.
Roanoke missed its first free-throw of the night but connected on all 27 the remainder of the game. The Maroons have won three-straight ODAC games and six of their last seven overall.
How it happened:
*Roanoke scored 11 of the game's first 13 points and extended the lead to 43-28 at intermission. The Generals made it just an eight-point game (71-63) with less than two minutes on the game clock but Roanoke didn't let W&L get any closer.
Inside the numbers:
*O'Malley had six offensive rebounds and was 8-8 from the free-throw line.

Joshua McClary had a team-high 16 points and added five rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Marcus Morgan had 12 points and seven rebounds and
Zach Rosenthal also had 12 points.

Justin Kuthan posted 11 points and eight rebounds.
*Robert DiSibio scored a game-high 18 for W&L (10-6/4-3 ODAC) and grabbed six rebounds.
