The Short story: The Roanoke College men's basketball team earned an important Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) road victory Wednesday night, 85-73 at the University of Lynchburg.
How it happened:
*The lead changed frequently in the early going before the Hornets opened a 19-17 edge. Roanoke used an 8-0 run to go ahead 25-19 with 6:39 remaining in the half as
Justin Kuthan had a dunk and a layup in the spurt. Lynchburg regained the advantage temporarily, but a
Joshua McClary three pointer in the closing seconds gave the Maroons a 39-38 lead at halftime.
McClary and Kuthan each had nine points in the game's first 20 minutes.
*Roanoke started the second half on fire, hitting four three pointers - two from
Zach Rosenthal - to go ahead 50-42. The Maroons never trailed in the second half, with
Joshua Morse scoring 11 of his 15 points in the second half.

*Rosenthal finished with a game-high 23 points, nailing four three pointers.
*Kuthan had 20 points and eight rebounds while Morse had a double double with 12 rebounds.
*McClary finished with 16 points and six assists.
