The Short Story:  The Roanoke women's soccer team continued their home stand with a 3-0 shutout win over Mary Baldwin on Wednesday afternoon at Kerr Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Despite having the offensive control of the game in the first half, the Maroons scored the only goal of the period at 20:09 when Emma Barnett found Morgan O'Neill for a goal and a 1-0 at the break.
• It took until the 77th minute, but the Maroons added a second goal when Cameron Shackford was able to find Rebecca Carr in the box and scored an insurance goal
• Carr closed out the scoring for Roanoke just five minutes later at 81:22 when she fired a shot she received from Autumn Oaster, giving the Maroons the 3-0 win.

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Maroons out shot MBU 30-3 while leading in shots on goal 15-2. The 30 shots ties the season-high, the first coming against Piedmont.
• With two goals tonight for Carr and one for O'Neill, the pair is in a tie for the team high goals this season with Brooke Nicholson, with three apiece.
• The Maroons also took a season-high 10 corner kicks
