The Short Story:  The Roanoke women's soccer team led 2-0 at halftime and added four more in the final 45 minutes in a 6-1 win over Pfeiffer on Saturday evening at Kerr Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Roanoke got first half goals by Morgan O'Neill at 9:15 off an assist from Brooke Nicholson and then what would be the game-winner from Nicholson at 18:42 off an assist from MC Petrucelli to stake themselves a 2-0 lead at halftime.
• It didn't take long in the second half to for the complete circle of the first two goals as Petrucelli found the back of the net off an pass from O'Neill at 48:15. 
• Makayla Metzler scored an unassisted goal at 56:55 before the Falcons scored their lone goal at 65:59. 
• With a 4-1 lead, Nicholson added her second goal of the contest off a pass from Rebecca Carr in the 71st minute. 
• Less than two minutes after she subbed in, Shelby Tashijan scored her first career goal at 73:11 to provide for the final 6-1 scoring margin. 

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Maroons dominated the stat sheet, outshooting the Falcons 25-4, with a 16-3 on shots on goal.
• Roanoke saw three goalies as Hannah Aemisegger played the first half, making one save while both both Taylor Gallik and Grace Suchy, who made a save, played the final 45 minutes
