The Short Story:  The Roanoke women's swim team picked up a pair of dual wins on Saturday afternoon when they face off against Southern Virginia and host Sweet Briar. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the first event of the day, the 200 medley relay, Lily Mullens, Kate Pearson, Ariana Guillory, and Bella Jones finished first with a time of 2:08.86. Alyssa Vargas, Juliette Gunter, Nora Hein, and Quinn Haley teamed up for second place with a time of 2:18.19
• Julia Byers claimed the win in the 800 Free with a time of 9:55.19.
• Katie Blankinship was first in the 200 free with a time of 2:17.87, a personal best.
• In the 50 free, Mullens touched the wall first in 28.03.
• Halle Schart and Bailey Gallagher were a one, two combination in the 200 IM with Schart finishing in 2:34.60 and Gallagher in 2:40.11.
• The 100 fly also saw a pair of Maroons take the top two finishes. Guillory won the event in 1:11.28, a personal best, and Byers finished second in 1:12.04
• Jones won her first individual event on the day in the 100 free with a time of 1:01.10
• It was a repeat for Schart and Gallagher in the 100 back with the top finishes in the event. Schart touched the wall first in 1:11.66 and Gallagher in 1:14.89.
• Blankinship finished second in the 400 free with a time of 4:57.95.
• Pearson and Carter Satterfield were the top two in the 100 breaststroke with times of 1:20.17 and 1:26.80, respectively.
• In the final event of the day, the 200 free relay, the team of Mullens, Guillory, Schart and Jones took first place with a time of 1:54.24.
