Returning to her hometown, Rigney has spent the last several years coaching at various levels across Texas. Rigney joins the Maroons from Abilene Chrisitan Uniersity where she served as the assistant women's soccer coach. Prior to her time at Albilene, she was the assistant coach for men’s and women’s programs at McMurry University in Abilene, TX. Rigney has also dipped into head coaching, serving as the head women's coach, assistant men's coach, and interim head men's coach at Ranger College. She began her coaching career at nearby Glenvar High School in Salem.
Additionally, Rigney has years of experience working in youth soccer, coaching for FC Dallas West Texas and working as their Academy Director of Coaches. Rigney holds a Level "E" coaching certificate from the Virginia Youth Soccer Association, as well as a Level 1 Coaching Certificate from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
As for her own playing career, Rigney lettered three seasons at Tennessee Temple University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology in 2014. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the Psychology Department Graduate of the Year.
