Biography
Career Highlights: Kelly completed her career with 86 starts as Roanoke's point guard and as one of the best rebounding guards in program history. In four years, Kelly compiled 419 rebounds, falling just shy of breaking into the top-10. She graduated from the college with the most rebounds from a pure guard in team history. Over the final three seasons of her career, Kelly made 77 starts, missing just one, that on Roanoke's senior day during her junior season.
2003-04: One of just two players to start every game for the Maroons, Kelly averaged 5.1 points and 4.1 rebounds from her guard position as a sophomore… she scored a season-best 13 points in a win over Virginia Wesleyan, twice scored 12 points (Emory & Henry and Randolph), and hit 11 in a victory over Hollins… made all five of her shots from the floor and went 2-for-2 from the line against Emory & Henry… led all Maroons with nine rebounds in a game at Washington & Lee and finished with seven boards in ODAC Tournament vs. Bridgewater.
2002-03: played in all but one game for the Maroons and started nine of the final 11 games of the season… in 422 minutes, she averaged four points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game… scored a career-high 17 points in a home win over Washington & Lee… made key three-pointer in ODAC Tournament against EMU in final minute sent game into overtime and eventually the win… had season-high four assists three times… scored 11 points in the team's win over Bridgewater in the ODAC Tournament and also reached double-digits in a win over Lynchburg… recorded five steals in a game at Virginia Wesleyan and ended the season third on the team in that category.
Personal: was the female athlete of the year at Staples High School… earned all-conference honors in three different sports… played volleyball, basketball and softball… was team captain as both a junior and senior.
