Biography
2005-06: Johnson started all but one game at center for the Maroons during her junior season … Johnson completed her third season with Roanoke as the third leading scorer, averaging 6.6 points a game … her field goal percentage, 48.9 percent, was the second best among all Maroon regulars … Johnson scored 10 or more points in seven games, that including a 15-point game at Hollins … in the team's ODAC tournament win over Virginia Wesleyan, Johnson scored 10 points and added seven rebounds … with eight rebounds against Averett, Johnson set a season-high … her only non-start of the season came at home against Washington & Lee, a game in which she came off the bench to score nine points on four-of-eight shooting … she had at least one rebound in the final 14 games of the season, getting seven at home against Lynchburg.
2004-05: Johnson, who came off the bench in all 27 games, scored in all but one contest as a sophomore with the Maroons … twice during the season Johnson scored 12 points, once at home against Virginia Wesleyan, the second time at Mary Baldwin … Johnson finished among the league leaders in field goal percentage, making 52.5 percent of her shots … twice during the year Johnson went 6-for-6 from the free throw line, against VWC and at Hollins … Johnson had a season-high four steals in road games against both Washington & Lee and Randolph-Macon Woman's College … 10 times during the season Johnson made all of her attempts from the free throw line and was one of three players above 70 percent at the line for the season.
2003-04: In her first season with the Maroons, Johnson averaged 3.1 points and 2.1 rebounds a game in 24 appearances … she opened her college career with a 15-point game against Springfield College in the Johns Hopkins tournament … her only other double-digit scoring effort came at home against Virginia Wesleyan … she grabbed six rebounds in the game with Springfield but later bettered that with a seven-rebound game against Hollins … Johnson finished the season as the only player on the roster shooting better than 50 percent from the field.
Personal: Johnson's sister Lindsey played basketball at ODAC rival Guilford College … her father played football for Amherst (MA) College … she was a two-time All-Conference player while at Simsbury and was also a soccer player in high school.
