Biography
2005-06: Hampered by injuries, Showalter played in 15 games during her junior season … Showalter tallied 15 points and 31 rebounds as a junior … her season-best in the points column came in the team's season-opener against Delaware Valley, scoring four points in eight minutes … in 15 minutes on the court against Hollins, Showalter had a career-high four assists and also added six rebounds and three steals … in a home game against Lynchburg, Showalter had five rebounds, three coming on the offensive end.
2004-05: Because of injuries, Showalter was limited to just two games during her sophomore season with the Maroons … her only point of the season came on a free throw in a season-opening game against Shenandoah University … Showalter also recorded an offensive rebound in the game against Shenandoah.
2003-04: During her freshman season with the Maroons, Showalter played in eight games and scored seven points … in the team's win at Averett, Showalter scored a season-best three points, all three coming on a three-point field goal, her only one of the year … she scored two points in wins over Eastern Mennonite and Virginia Wesleyan … both of her points at Eastern Mennonite came from the free throw line … she had two rebounds on the year, one against Widener, the other versus EMU.
Personal: Showalter's brother David played football for Emory & Henry College in Emory, VA … she also was on the Eastern Montgomery track & field and softball teams … as a senior, she earned First-Team All-District basketball honors.
