Biography
2005-06: Nesbit started nine of Roanoke's first 10 games of the season and ended the year playing in all 26 games and starting 10 … she scored points in all but three games and finished with a season-high eight points on three different occasions … Nesbit went to the free throw line 14 times, making 11, getting four of those makes in a road game against Eastern Mennonite … a season-best seven of her 84 total rebounds came in back-to-back games against Randolph-Macon and Bridgewater … in her first two games coming off the bench, Nesbit averaged 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds … twice during the season Nesbit blocked a career-high four shots, at Ferrum and at Washington & Lee.
2004-05: Nesbit totaled 18 points in 19 games during her sophomore season in a Maroon uniform … 10 of Nesbit's 18 points came in a road win over Mary Baldwin College, a game in which she went 4-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line … Nesbit also had a season-high six rebounds in the Mary Baldwin contest … in a home game against Bridgewater, Nesbit had two points, two rebounds, two blocks in 10 minutes of action.
2003-04: As a freshman with the Maroons, Nesbit played in 10 games, averaging 5.4 minutes a contest … she scored a season-high three points in a win over Randolph-Macon Woman's College, getting all three points from the free throw line … her lone field goal of the year came in eight minutes of action against Widener University … she had at least one rebound in nine of the 10 games in which she played, finishing the year with a total of 13 … she also had two assists in the Widener contest.
Personal: In addition to basketball, Nesbit also played soccer and lacrosse for Mt. Ararat High School … she was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection as a sophomore and junior and was named to the senior All-Star game … Nesbit also was an All-Conference pick in soccer and lacrosse and helped the 2001 soccer team to a state championship… during the fall of 2006, Nesbit was a goaltender for the Roanoke College women's soccer team.
