Biography

Career Highlights: Gillis was the Old Dominion Athletic Conference 2006 Scholar Athlete of the Year and was also an Academic All-American nominee. A Second Team All-ODAC pick as a freshman, Gillis enters her senior season with 32 career pitching wins, nine coming in each her sophomore and junior seasons. Her 32 wins are the fourth most in team history. Her 180 career strikeouts are also the fifth-best total in team history. A Sociology major, with an Education minor, Gillis became the first Maroon to earn the ODAC Scholar Athlete of the Year honor.
