Mark Rohrback

Mark Rohrback joined Roanoke preceding the 2023-24 season.

Rohrback holds a 38-25 record through two seasons with Roanoke.

In the inaugural season of men's volleyball sponsored by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), Rohrback's squad made it all the way to the conference championship game after earning the two seed in the league playoff tournament. RC posted an overall record of 22-12 and went 8-4 in ODAC play. Rohrback also had many Maroons receive conference honors including ODAC Defensive Player of the Year, ODAC Scholar Athlete of the Year, three first team, a second team, and a third team selection.

In his first year with the Maroons, Rohrback led the squad to a nine win improvement from the 2022-23 season and helped the team to their first winning season in program history.

Before Roanoke, Rohrback served as the head girls volleyball coach at nearby Glenvar High School, where he has brought home several district, regional, and state titles to the Highlanders. He led GHS to undefeated state championship seasons in 2006 (28-0) and 2022 (26-0) as well as another title in 2021. Each of the championship seasons, Rohrback was named the VHSL Coach of the Year. While with Glenvar, he also helped coach the Roanoke juniors, Glenvar Juniors, and NRV clubs. 

During the day, he was a middle school math teacher at Glenvar Middle School from 2007 to 2023 and Breckinridge Middle School from 2006-2007. 

Before going into teaching, he served as a financial sales and services rep for what is now Wells Fargo Bank NA from 1999-2005. During this time Rohrback played volleyball on a USAV Men's Adult league for three years with players from southwest VA. His team finished third nationally in 2003 and fifth in 2004.

Rohrback earned his bachelor's of science in business administration degree from Susquehanna University in 1998.

He currently resides in Roanoke with his wife Jen along with his daughter Emily and son Luke.
