Biography

2000:The Maroon's leading scorer in 2000, Pflugrad has been one of the top midfielders in the ODAC over the past three seasons. His size makes him one of the most physically dominating players in the league. However, his speed and quickness are not expected from a person of his size. His outstanding first touch has created many scoring opportunities for the Maroons, as his superior finishing skills. Pflugrad's physical presence has been a great asset to the Maroons controlling the pace of play. A first team All-ODAC player last season, Pflugrad is one of the several players on the squad that should contend for ODAC player of the year honors. 


1999 – started 12 of 14 matches played… totaled 31 shots, four goals and two assists for 10 points… had season-high six shots in season-opener vs. Ohio Northern… scored first goal of the season against Greensboro in 1-2 loss… had four shots and scored only goal in 1-1 tie vs. Christopher Newport… had an assist in 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite… scored a goal and dished out an assist in regular-season finale vs. Lynchburg… scored a goal in ODAC Tournament in a 4-3 victory against Washington & Lee.


1998 - Was a Second Team All-ODAC selection as a freshman … scored four goals, three of which were game winners …netted the game-winner in Roanoke's 2-1 win over #10 Johns Hopkins University … finished the season with nine points.


Personal - Business major … also played basketball at Hammond High School … was an All-Howard County selection as well as an All-Metro pick by the Baltimore Sun … member of the Maryland Olympic Development Program … earned All-Academic status in basketball in Howard County.
