Biography

Career Highlights: Graffam capped his solid Roanoke College basketball career with Honorable Mention All-ODAC honors following his senior season. He averaged career-highs in both scoring and rebounding during his last year with the team. In 107 career games, Graffam scored 737 points and grabbed 527 rebounds. No player in the conference, during the 2003-04 season, had a better free throw shooting percentage than Graffam's 87.3. As a senior, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the V-Foundation Classic in Salem. He scored a career-high 26 points in a home win over Guilford during the 2003-04 season and followed that performance up with a 25-point night against Eastern Mennonite. In his final three college games, Graffam averaged 22.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot 24-for-41 (.585) from the field.


 


2002-03: Graffam averaged 7.1 points per game as a junior, the fourth highest number on the team … he had a season-best 16-point effort in a home win over Lynchburg College … he reached double-figures in the scoring column seven times and recorded a season-high 11 rebounds in a game against Randolph-Macon … he led the Maroons in the scoring column one time during the year and the rebounding list three times … he blocked two shots in four games, including the regular season finale versus Eastern Mennonite … he set a career-high in the steals column when he got five in the home victory over LC.


 


2001-02: As a sophomore, played in all 27 games, starting 16 … averaged 6.3 points and 5.7 rebounds a game … Graffam led all Maroons in the rebounding column during the season, grabbing a total of 154 … he established a new career-high with 21 points in a win at Goucher, going 8-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-4 from three-point range … had 45 assists during the season, fourth best on the team, and tops among all non-guards … handed out five assists and had a career-high 12 rebounds against Guilford on the road … was perfect (6-for-6) from the field in an overtime win at Bridgewater College.


 


2000-01: Was one of the league's top freshmen, playing in all 29 games and averaging 3.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game … dropped in a season-high 11 points in the win over Babson in the V-Foundation Classic … in a win at Emory & Henry, grabbed a season-best 11 rebounds, including six off the offensive glass … averaged 13.6 minutes per game and saw 10-plus minutes in all but four contests.


 


Personal: Three-sport star at Marshall High School in Northern Virginia (football, basketball, baseball) … First Team All-District selection in both football and basketball and Honorable Mention in baseball.
