Career Highlights: Butler completed his career as Roanoke College's 22nd all-time leading scorer. He finished his four-year career with 1,118 career points. His 159 three-pointers are also the second most in team history, trailing only two-time First Team All-ODAC performer and current RC assistant coach Robby Pridgen. Following his senior season, Butler, who was a senior captain with the Maroons, was Second Team All-ODAC selection. Butler graduated in May of 2006 with a degree in Business Administration.
2004-05: An Honorable Mention All-ODAC selection, Butler finished the year as Roanoke's second leading scorer, averaging 12.1 points a game … he scored in double-figures in 18 of the team's 25 games … his 22-point effort in home win over Hampden-Sydney was his season-best performance … of Roanoke's three-point leaders, Butler rated second with 41 makes … twice during the season (vs. EMU and E&H) he made four three-pointers in a single contest … in the team's game with Cabrini in Myrtle Beach, SC Butler grabbed a season-high seven rebounds … he finished the year with 60 assists, third best on the team, averaging just over five per game over the last eight games of the year … Butler's 38 steals and 80 free throws made rated second-best on the club.
2003-04: Butler led all Maroons in scoring during the season (15 ppg) and finished the year ranked sixth among all conference players in the scoring column … he scored in double-figures in all but five games for the team, highlighting the year with a 28-point effort against Emory & Henry … he scored 20 points on six different occasions … his 62 three-pointers led all RC players and was second in the conference charts … Butler had a season-high seven assists in a home win over Washington & Lee … he led all Maroon players with 83 free throws made and 60 assists and also finished third in steals with 26.
2002-03: Butler played in every game as a freshman, averaging 3.5 points per game and handing out 39 assists … in playing an average of 11.5 minutes per game, Butler made eight three-pointers and also totaled 13 steals … he had a then career-high 15 points in a game at Emory & Henry College and bettered all of his other performances with a five-assist day against Transylvania … in the team's
second game of the year, he a then career-high 12 points in a home win over Goucher College … his 22 minutes against Goucher were a season-high … went 3-of-5 from behind the three-point line at Emory & Henry.
Personal: Is the younger brother of former Maroon standout guard Paris Butler '00 … also starred in soccer and football at West Springfield … was an Honorable Mention All-District selection as a free safety for the WSHS football team … is majoring in Business at Roanoke.
