2016-2017: Hassell played in 15 games for the Maroons averaged 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.5 assist. In a game against Ferrum (11/19) he scored eight points, one rebound, and one assist. He had a season high nine points against Guilford (1/4) and contributed two rebounds. In a game against Shenandoah (2/18) he scored six points and one assist.

2015-16: Played in 25 games for the Maroons during his sophomore year… finished averaging 7.1 points per game, 1.4 rebounds per game, and 0.6 points per game… totaled 36 rebounds, 16 assists, nine steals, and four blocks… put up a season high 17 points in a 95-72 win over Dallas (11/20)… against Rutgers-Camden (11/15) he tallied three rebounds, two steals, one block, and 13 points.

2014-15: appeared in 17 games for the Maroons during his freshman year... averaged 1.1 points and 0.6 rebounds per game... scored a career-high six points, hitting two three-pointers in eight minutes in a matchup against Guilford (2/11)... scored five points in five minutes of action vs. #16 Randolph-Macon (1/17)... had two points, a steal and a season-best three rebounds vs. Brockport (11/16), which recieved votes in the top-25 poll.

High School: Played for Chad Conner at Lord Botetourt... named First-Team All-Blue Ridge District First-Team All-Conference 31 3A West First-Team All-Region 3A VHSCA First-Team All-State Second-Team All-Timesland Member of VHSCA All-Star Game Member of Roanoke Valley All-Metro Team... led Cavaliers to a 24-3 record and a Group 3A West Championship and a trip to the 3A state semifinals.
