Outlook: Should be a break-out year...plays all out when he is on the court...fierce shot blocker.

2007-08: Played in 26 games… missed one game due to injury… had more points (90), field goals made (41), rebounds (86), assists (16) and blocked shots (26) than his previous two years combined… led team in blocked shots for most of the season… scored season-high 11 points, hitting 5-of-8 from the floor vs. Shenandoah (11/17)… pulled down a season-best eight rebounds vs. Ferrum (11/26) and Hope (12/18)… had career-high five blocked shots along with six points and four rebounds vs. FDU-Florham (1/4)… had five points, three blocked shots and three rebounds in win at Hampden-Sydney (1/26).

2006-07: Appeared in 26 games last season… averaged 2.2 points per game… recorded season-highs of 16 points and eight rebounds in only 15 minutes vs. Emory & Henry (12/6)

2005-06: Tyson spent most of his freshman season working with the Maroon junior varsity team, but did appear in 14 games with the varsity … he scored a season-high 10 points at Emory & Henry, hitting his only three-pointer of the year in that contest … he had three rebounds in a home game against Hampden-Sydney and matched that total against E&H, a game in which he also had two assists.

High School: While at North Gaston High School, Tyson was an All-Conference selection as a senior. He was named the team's Most Valuable Player as a senior and was also a member of the national honor roll.
