“Remington Hinshaw joined the Maroons as a special teams assistant coach in September 2024.

 In 2024, Hinshaw coached and developed five freshmen specialists during Roanoke College’s first football season since 1942.

Hinshaw, originally from Roanoke, VA, is a Patrick Henry High School graduate where he was awarded the Special Teams MVP during his senior season and earned all-state honors as both a place kicker and punter. Hinshaw played football for two seasons at the University of Richmond, setting two schools records for most points in a game by a place kicker (17) and most field goals made in a single game (4) in 2012, and then two seasons at Virginia Tech. He earned his Bachelor’s degree (marketing) from Virginia Tech and his Master’s degree (Marketing & Project Management) from Liberty University.
