Biography

2017:  In his final season he started two games and played in a total of sixteen games for the Maroons.

2016: Pitched in ten games during his junior year as a Maroon, appearing in 9 as a starter… finished with an ERA of 4.61… pitched 41.0 total innings and had 14 strikeouts… Had his best outing in a 3-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan (4/10) striking out seven batters.

2015: Threw in two games for the Maroons for his sophomore season...he finished with three strikeouts, only giving up two hits on the year... in a 8-0 win over Johnson University (TN) (3/21), he struck out two batters and only gave up two hits.

2014: Pitched in 10 games during his freshman season, striking out 16 batters in 19 innings pitched... had an ERA of 5.49. Picked up the victory against Virginia Southern (4/03) throwing 5 solid innings, only allowing one run... pitched shutout relief appearances against Emory & Henry (3/02) and William Peace (3/15).

High School: Lettered three years in baseball at Midlothian... played for Adam Griffin... two-time All-Dominion District selection... played with Roanoke teammate Kevin Oakey.

Personal: Son of Lisa and Russ Cumbea... Business Administration Major.
