STAUNTON, Va. - The Roanoke College baseball team posted their largest margin of victory in over 20 years as they power past Mary Baldwin 21-1.

How It Happened 

• Both sides posted a tally in the first inning to keep it even at 1-1. 

• The Maroons burst out offensively in the third and fourth innings as they added 17 runs to their name. 

• RC finished off in the seventh inning with three more runs. 

Notes and Notables 

• RC's 20-run win is their largest margin of victory since 2004 when they defeated Lake Erie 23-0. 

• Ryan Wallace earned his first career win as he threw his longest outing of the season. He struck out five and allowed just four hits in four innings of work 

• Liam Murphy led Roanoke with five RBIs on a pair of doubles. He also had a walk and was driven in twice on the day. 

• Ethan Sargent and Hayden Giordano also had multi-RBI games with two each. 

• Giordano and Murphy were the only two Maroons to have multiple hits on the day with two a piece. 

• Wyatt Pence and Jack Fehlner both accounted for three runs. 

• Clark Mileto also drew a career high three walks. 

• Ty Giblin got his first career hit as he roped a double for an RBI in the seventh inning. 

• Mason Ryan made his first career appearance on the mound in the game.
