SALEM, Va. – Roanoke College junior
Jackson Bell earned second-team men's basketball All-Region 6 honors Monday, selected by D3hoops.com.
Bell, a first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection, averaged 16.5 points a game. He grabbed 5.3 rebounds, handed out 49 assists with team-bests of 34 steals and 11 blocks. He earned the conference tournament's Most Outstanding Performer award.
Bell had four 30-point games and hit the game-winning shot in the Maroons' 59-58 ODAC Championship game win over Randolph-Macon College – RC's first conference title since 1999-20. Roanoke finished the season 23-7 and advanced into the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year.
Division III basketball is organized into 10 regions. A region with 40 teams or more has three All-Region teams honored, while a region with fewer than 40 teams has a first and second team. This organization results in approximately 10 additional players being recognized when compared to full seasons in the old eight-region alignment.
