Maroon men’s basketball opens ODAC Tourney Tuesday vs. W&L

SALEM, Va. – The third-seeded Roanoke College men's basketball team opens the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Cregger Center in a quarterfinal matchup against No. 6 Washington & Lee University.

Tickets are $10 for general admission. Individuals 18 years old and under are free, as are Roanoke students with valid ID.

Roanoke is 19-6 this season after finishing 12-4 in conference play. The Maroons have won three-straight going into tournament play, besting Shenandoah, Lynchburg and Randolph in the Cregger Center.
 
Last Time: The Generals have handed RC two of its four conference losses this year, 58-57 in Salem on Jan. 10 and 64-56 in Lexington on Feb. 4.  
Leaders: Junior Jackson Bell leads the Maroons in scoring with 15.7 points per game to go with 5.2 rebounds and 30 steals. Senior Marcus Morgan averages 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and a team-high 3.4 assists. Connor Amorosi paces W&L (17-8/9-7) with 16.9 points a game and 4.4 rebounds.
 
Tournament Bracket: The winner advances to the semifinals to play the winner of No. 2 Virginia Wesleyan/No. 7 Averett in the tournament semifinals Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Salem Civic Center. The Championship game is Saturday at 8 p.m. back in the Civic Center. Complete online bracket.
