SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College women's basketball team was clipped in their return to ODAC play by Bridgewater on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened 

• It was a tightly contested first period with both sides playing very methodically. The Maroons came out of it though with a narrow 15-14 advantage. 

• It was much of the same for the first five minutes of the second, but then Bridgewater found a rhythm and went up 10 with a minute left in the half. However, Alicea Farmer was able to grab five points in that final minute cut RC's deficit to just five. 

• Roanoke brought it within one early in the third, but Bridgewater slowly started to widen the gap, making it 54-43 to end the quarter. 

• RC couldn't quite get going offensively in the fourth, allowing the Eagles to extend their lead to the final. 

Notes and Notables 

• Junior Alicea Farmer led the Maroons in scoring with 16 points. She went 6-12, including 3-3 from beyond the arc. 

• Sophomore Nadia Snesarev was the next closest Maroon in points with nine on the evening. 

• Farmer, Snesarev , and Paige Breuer led in rebounds with four a piece. 

• Ashley Fowler topped the squad in assists with four helpers. 

• Moriah Tate and Farmer each had two steals. 

• Mariah Cain, Farmer, and Snesarev each had a block in the contest.
