DANVILLE, Va. - The Roanoke College women's basketball team fell to Averett in their first road game of 2026 on Wednesday.

How It Happened 

• The first quarter was low scoring on both ends but saw Averett come out of with an 11-6 advantage.  

• The sides then went punch for punch in the second, scoring 18 points each. 

• It was much of the same in the third quarter, but the Maroons outscored the AU 9-2 in the final three minutes to tie it a 46-46 heading into the final 10 minutes. 

• Ultimately, Averett were the ones to close the deal in final quarter. 

Notes and Notables 

• Nadia Snesarev had a career high 18 points as she went 7-14 from the field. 

• Alicea Farmer and Cecilia Robinson both had double-doubles on the night. Farmer posted 17 points and 10 rebounds while Robinson had 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

• Robinson's double-double is the first of her career. 

• Ashley Fowler wasn't far behind the pair with seven rebounds in the contest, all on the defensive side of the ball. 

• Snesarev also led the team in assists with five. Farmer and Paige Breuer followed her up with three each.
