SALEM, Va. - Freshman Kaitlyn Robertson tallied her first career goal in the fourth quarter to earn the Roanoke College field hockey team their first home win of the 2025 campaign.

How It Happened 

• The Maroons earned themselves a penalty corner. The corner was sent into Corinne Orlando, who sent a chip pass in that fell in front of Kaitlyn Robertson. Robertson then slapped the ball home to give RC the advantage. 

Notes and Notables 

• The goal was the first of Robertson's career as well as her first career point. 

• Similarly, Orlando's helper was the first of her time as a Maroon. 

• Roberston, Orlando, and Maggie Beach led the squad in shots with three each. 

• Katherine Seal, Kennedy Boyce, Sophie Baker, and Elyse Cosgrave accounted for the other Roanoke shots. 

• Goaltender Chloe Miller made four saves to earn her second shutout of the season. 

• The Maroons had the advantage in shots, 15-4, shots on goal, 12-4, and penalty corners, 8-2.
