Roanoke drops doubleheader in regular season finale

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Roanoke College baseball team were defeated by Virginia Wesleyan in their final doubleheader of the regular season on Sunday.

Game 2 Notes and Notables 

  • Corey Coogan was the only Maroons to record multiple hits with his two in the contest. 

  • Parker Stallard added two stolen bases to up his team and ODAC leading total to 22 on the season. 

  • Jackson Murphy posted three scoreless innings on the mound, striking out two in the process. 

Up Next 
RC gets set for the ODAC playoffs this weekend. They will travel to Shenandoah on Friday (May 2) for a 1:00 pm doubleheader. If each team wins a game on Friday, then the Maroons will play on Sunday (May 3) to decide a series winner.
