SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College baseball squad kicked off their final week of the regular season with an 11-7 win over Guilford to complete the season sweep of the Quakers.

How It Happened 

• Guilford struck first in the top of the with three runs, but Roanoke quickly reeled in the Quakers, adding two runs in the bottom of the inning on a Parker Stallard triple. 

• RC then tallied three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a lead that they would not relinquish for the rest of the game. 

• Guilford added one in the sixth before the Maroons had a big seventh inning, tacking on four more tallies. 

• The Quakers added three more runs in the final two innings, but Roanoke added two of their own to extend their lead and finish off the game. 

Notes and Notables 

• Parker Stallard got it done offensively for RC slashing three hits for two RBIs and tallying two runs and a walk on the day. 

• Tyler Galloway, Corey Coogan, and Hayden Giordano all had a pair of hits and a pair of RBIs. Kyle Moshier joined the trio with two hits of his own in the game. 

• Nick Capps snags his second win of the campaign after throwing two scoreless innings and allowing just a hit and a walk. 

• Every Maroon in the lineup made it on base in the contest. 

Up Next 
Roanoke is back at it again tomorrow (Apr. 23) as they take on Pfeiffer at 4:00 pm to round out non-conference play. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday but was moved due to weather concerns.
