The Lead: Members of the Roanoke women's track & field squad competed in throwing events at Eastern Mennonite University's Heritage Invitational.
Highlights:
- Abby McGlothlin placed third in the javelin with a mark of 26.91m. Sarah Fuchs came in fourth with a toss of 24.42m.
- In the hammer throw, Fuchs placed third at 42.37m. Bri Marando (36.23m) came in eighth, followed by Hollis Bartlett (33.86m) in ninth and McGlothlin (27.03m) in 13th.
- Fuchs also finished fourth overall in the shot put, registering a distance of 10.53m.
- Marando placed fourth in the discus at 30.71m, and McGlothlin came in fifth with a mark of 29.63m.
Up Next: The Maroons will compete at next weekend's WildCat Invitational, hosted by Randolph College.
