Roanoke claims road win over Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Roanoke College men's tennis squad claimed their second conference win of the campaign as they beat Bridgewater on the road, 6-1.

The Highlights 

  • The Maroons took the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches to snag the point and start Roanoke off on the right foot. 

  • RC went on to win five of the six singles matches to secure the victory. 

  • Federico Maccari and Nichols both improved to 8-3 on the year in singles with their victories against the Eagles. 

  • Emiliano Ramirez came back after losing his first set to grab his six singles victory. 

  • Julio Marques also fought back after dropping set one on his way to his fifth victory at the No. 3 singles spot. 

  • Hardt Lesko took control of the No. 4 match to pick up his fourth win of the year. 
     
  • With the victory, the Maroons moved up to fourth in the men's tennis ODAC standings.
