HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Roanoke College men's volleyball team dropped a tightly contested road conference matchup with Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday night.

How It Happened 

• Roanoke used multiple runs in the first set to take it fairly comfortably at 25-17. 

• Set two was closer and despite RC's efforts in the final points, EMU took it 25-22. 

• The Maroons had a lead of up to five points throughout the set, but EMU pulled it back and forced extra points. The Royals grabbed set three, 28-26. 

• It was another tight contest in the fourth, EMU used a few three point runs in the second half of the set to take the set, 25-22, and the match from Roanoke. 

Notes and Notables 

• Kaeden Noble had a season high 21 digs in the match, just one shy of his career mark of 22. 

• Andre Gates had a career high six blocks. Colin Mendoza, Michael Cummins, and Gabe Fabbro backed him up with four each. 

• Cummins also led in kills with 15 and Jackson Rutkowski joined him in the double figures at 12. 

• Fabbro and Teagan Cole both broke 20 assists on the night with 22 and 20 respectively.

Roanoke returns to the Cregger Center on Friday (Mar. 14) as they host their first tri-match of the season. They will square off with Randolph in an ODAC matchup at 3:00pm and Bethany College at 7:00 pm.
