SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College men's tennis squad was narrowly defeated by Maryville in their home opener on Friday. 

The Highlights 

• Federico Maccari and Julio Marques won at No.1 doubles while Jackson Wagner and Jacob Nichols won at No.3 to earn the doubles point. 

• Both of RC's doubles victories were come from behind wins. 

• Maccari and Nichols then went on to take the victory in their singles matches, No. 2 and No. 6 respectively. 

• Many of the other singles matches were closely contested. Notably, Hardt Lesko forced a third set at No. 5 before ultimately falling.

Roanoke gets set to head to Hilton Head, S.C. for their annual spring break trip. They kick of their week down south with a matchup against John Carroll on Sunday (Mar. 2).
