HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Roanoke College men's tennis squad snagged their first victory of the spring season with a tightly contested 5-4 win over John Carroll.

The Highlights 

• The squads reverted to the old way of scoring in Division III for these matches at the PTR Spring Fest, accounting for the two extra points in the scoreline. 

• Federico Maccari and Jacob Nichols grabbed their third wins of the season to top the team in singles victories on the young campaign. 

• Jackson Wagner and Nichols pulled out their second straight doubles win in a close 8-7 match in the No. 3 spot. 

• Emiliano Ramirez and Julio Marques had the other two points for the Maroons. It was the first singles win of 2025 for both of them.

RC faces off with Clark University on Tuesday (Mar. 4) at Hilton Head High School. The first serve is set for 5:30 pm.
